After months of intensive stakeholder consultation, we are pleased to announce that our revised Paper criteria will be effective on 11 April 2015.
The following paper products will be covered within the scope of the new criteria:

We are disappointed that the haze problem has returned again this year. This haze represents the growing demand for both paper as well as palm oil products. The Singapore Environment Council (SEC) and the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) reiterate our call to consumers not to buy from or support companies that produce their products using irresponsible methods of clearing land.

After many months of stakeholder consultation, we are pleased to announce the launch of the new assessment criteria for Products with Palm Oil with effect from 01 February 2016.

SEC is pleased to announce our memberships with the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO - www.rspo.org) and Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC - www.ic.fsc.org). We are the first NGO in Singapore to take up memberships in both international certification organisations.

These memberships will provide us with a greater international presence and aid in adopting best practices in these two specific industry segments - pulp and paper, and palm oil.
